Drabble: Any Minute Now

She will. You’ll see. Any minute now she is going to walk back through that door, and I’ll give her the ring.

She’ll say yes. She’ll forget that we were fighting and kiss me. She’ll stop trying to change me, and telling me what to do. She’ll understand me when I can’t get the words right, and she’ll know that I love her, because I will!

I mean…I do love her.

Things will be good again after I give her what she wants; what I want; what we want. As soon as she opens that door.

Any minute now.
