Yawning At The Abyss

Because the ultimate staring contest can get a little tiring.

The Rule Is, There Are No Rules

Today in a philosophy tutorial the teachers assistant basically repeated everything that I was thinking back to much of the class besides us as they argued that all truth is relative.

The basic proof against the argument lies in the statement “the rule is, there are no rules.” It contradicts itself. To assert that a universe exists without rules is still the assersion of an underlying governing principle of that universe.

How convincing is this? How complete is this proof?
